New Events The new season kicks off October 31st with A Taste of MiMo at 12 restaurant locations - some new - some ole' favorites and MiMoWEEN for the kids starting at Noon. You can visit the 55th Street Station where the kick-off of the new location of the Upper Eastside Garden will begin at 9am. When night starts to fall - the MiMo District will transform into an adult venue for parties including new the Sip of MiMo at participating restaurants. Come in costume and receive a "Free Cocktail" to start the evening's festivities. ART Miami, the first week of December 2009, brings more galleries with exhibits to the MiMo District than ever before. This will also be the kick-off to a monthly MiMo District ART Walk. Saturday will bring a "free" shuttle circulating from the Wynwood/Midtown Galleries are to the MiMo District from 12 Noon to 6PM giving art lovers a chance to Taste the MiMo restaurants during the 2nd Taste of MiMo. 2010 brings expanded hours more fun and things to do during the MiMo Festival weekend March 19-21. The street party is Saturday, March 20th, moved from May because our festival goers felt May was just too hot. The Friday kick-off party will be at a local venue. Saturday morning's activities will begin at 9am with vendors, art exhibits, antique cars, bands, parties, historic tours and street performers throughout the day. The circulating shuttle will run most of the day into the evening hours. We don't plan a "Pooch Parade" this year, but know that the area welcome's your canine friends at our many outdoor cafés. Sunday, March 21, brings MiMo Brunches, a historic walking tour and the fun of a Miami's Expose Photo Shoot. Legion Park is becoming the place the locals meet on Saturdays with free yoga classes at 10am for adults along with a class for children 5 and up. It is in close proximately of shopping and restaurants.
